Why did Honda discontinue the CB1100?
This is actually the 2nd relaunch of the CB1100 here in America, as Honda first brought this retro-styled standard back to the U.S. in 2013. But, it turns out it was a little too retro and not modern enough to attract many buyers, so Honda stopped importing it just two years later.

The CB1100 EX on the other hand is faithful to the original CB750 in terms of overall dynamics, design and aesthetics. As throwbacks go, only the CB1100 EX offers that authentic UJM experience in a modernized package. After riding the CB1100 EX for considerable time, I find a genuine liking for it. It’s easy to ride.
Is CB1100 a good bike?
Comfortable bike to ride with a great sound at engine braking and acceleration. Brings a big smile. Power is plentiful and brakes are excellently balanced with ABS. I can ride this bike all day long if you pay for the fuel.
Is the CB1100 too heavy?
If you buy it expecting to whip through the bends you will be disappointed as it is too big and heavy to have anything like the agility of some sportier rivals. However if you want a great looking retro with beautiful build quality and bags of soul for gentle riding, the CB1100RS is a decent option.
