Can you put a 280 Cam in a 307?
Yeah, that 307 had a tiny cam in it. With the 280 it ran well above 2000. Below that, it didnt pull very hard. I actually had to put two 280s in it. The first one had an intake lobe go flat (I didnt take out the inner springs).
Can I put a 270h in a 307?
I ran a comp 270h in the 307 that came in my 69 c-10. Needless to say it ran way better after I put that cam in. I also added a performer RPM and a 1406 edelbrock. And an HEI. I think it sounded great. Off course being in a short stroked 307 probably had something to do with it. Sure it wasn’t matched to the crappy heads very well.
