Can you swim in lake Waterton?
On hot summer days, people swim in Upper Waterton Lake. Keep in mind that the lake is very cold, drops off quickly and is subject to strong winds. Emerald Bay (in the community) is the most popular spot for swimming.
How many days do you need at Waterton National Park?
I definitely could have used more time to relax and hike some of the surrounding peaks, but two nights left me with a good taste of what Waterton had to offer. Ideally, I would recommend visitors spend at least three days in the park.
