Facilities. There are public toilets at Martin’s Haven, where you embark for Skomer. The shop sells drinks and snacks, but you will need to take drinks and a picnic with you for your day on the island. There is a public toilet on Skomer about 800m (1/2 mile) from the landing jetty.
Are dogs allowed on Skomer Island?
There is a limit of 250 people per day allowed on the island in order to protect the wildlife. No dogs are allowed on the island, but dogs are allowed on the non-landing Round Island Cruises; information about local kennels can be obtained from Wendy Barnes-Jones at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, 01239 621600.

Small steps taken by you, during your visit, will help us all to protect Skomer and Skokholm for the future. The islands of Skomer and Skokholm are home to breeding populations of seabirds of both national and international importance. There are no significant ground predators (such as large mammalian predators or snakes) on the islands.
How many tickets do I need to get on Skomer Island?
Landing tickets are strictly limited to a maximum of 250 per day. Day trips to Skomer are oversubscribed during the peak season (May to Mid-July) and some people will not get onto the island. On the busiest days extra guided island cruises are operated and visitors have the option to see the island and the wildlife from the boat.
