How do you waterproof a fabric jacket?
Spray-On
- Clean jacket with Pro Cleaner or Down Cleaner as noted in the Wash-In instructions above.
- Hang wet or dry jacket on hanger. Shake can well.
- Spray 5”-10” from jacket in well-ventilated area. Apply liberally on high-wear areas like shoulders and cuffs.
- Check manufacturer’s care instructions before machine drying.
How do you use Grangers down repel?
Use 50ml capful per large item, or two smaller items. Use half a cap if handwashing. For best results we recommend reproofing garments separately.
How do you wash Gore Tex with Grangers?
Use 25ml capful per wash load. Pour product directly into the detergent drawer of your Washing Machine, in place of normal detergent.
What can I spray-on my jacket to make it waterproof?
Now comes the time for re-waterproofing: Spray the jacket—and spray it really well—with a waterproofing spray. I like ReviveX Spray-On Water Repellent. Then put the jacket in the dryer, and when it comes out, it should be hydrophobic again. You can make sure by sprinkling some water on it.
How do I restore a DWR finish?
Machine wash your garment as described in the wash instructions. Line dry your garment or tumble dry it on a warm, gentle cycle. Once it is dry, tumble dry your garment for 20 minutes to reactivate the durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric.
