Will purple Manic Panic work on dark hair?
If your hair is dyed black, some darker MANIC PANIC dyes will give a subtle highlight (like Vampire Red for example) and will not damage the hair. On NATURAL black hair, MANIC PANIC Flash lightning Bleach Kit in 40 volume strength is recommended.
What is purple Manic Panic for?
Purple Haze is a warm, very dark purple hair dye that leaves purple tones on virgin, unbleached hair. For best results, we recommend lightening hair to medium level 7 blonde or lighter before use. Purple Haze® is named after a Jimi Hendrix song, and is very popular among Dye Hard fans.
Can I use purple dye instead of toner?
Trust me, I’ve been coloring my own hair for decades. I go platinum sometimes and yes, I’ve used Wella and every other toner under the sun, but if your hair is already damaged you can use just a tiny bit of purple/blue dye in a bowl of conditioner to tone.

Can you use Manic Panic without bleaching?
For best results with Manic Panic, you’ll want to lift/bleach hair before coloring. ALWAYS do a strand test before coloring to ensure you’ll be happy with the outcome and you can adjust your mix if necessary!
